I was wondering how to do this. i want to render my hairs in mrPrime mode, but don't need to show up in the render, but cast shadows. trasmat shader didn't help for it gets rendered in total black color. any tips?

the best way is to set Hairs to buffer and composite method to off in the render effects window. This way only shadows of actual hairs geometry will be casted and rendered.
    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
