    Create shaders in a graph based way to be used in your projects. The graph editor allows for simple yet powerful shader creation. There is a number of new nodes shipping with mental mill that allow you to quickly create your shaders and effects. Write new shaders using the MetaSL shading language.

    mental mill 1.2 features:
    • a new workflow allows you to view multiple geometries with different shaders in one view.
    • new scene element node types: camera, light, geometry
    • more nodes for shader creation
    • a project toolbox that shows which shaders classes you are using in your project
    • a library browser where users can create their own custom shader libraries for easy sharing
    • preview rendering directly inside the node in the graph view
    • a new comprehensive html user guide (available under "Help > User Guide")

    You can download mental mill 1.2 here:

    mental mill 1.2 for Linux
    mental mill 1.2 for Windows
    mental mill 1.2 for Mac

    recently was looking into some GLSL as in Softimage there is some kind of GLSL unified shader which is mostly undocumented and unexplored. Autodesk in there wisdom tied Mental Mill 1.1 to a particular version of Softimage, 2010 I think, and so when I installed Mental Mill few days ago it decided to not launch as my 'license unavailable' even though I have 2011 , 2012 & 2013 installed..

    so this is some good news, and a result, thank you. here is a link to some mighty fine GLSL code that has inspired me to take a look inside of Softimage and now Mental Mill.

    The link does not work for me unfortunately, just XML code error.
    This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
    <Error>
    <Code>AccessDenied</Code>
    <Message>Access Denied</Message>
    <RequestId>D783BA89F22FE8D7</RequestId>

    </HostId>
    </Error>
    Look like you need to login somewhere to get it!

    I was hoping to upgrade to 1.2 as my version 1.1 cannot pick my Softimage license since I upgraded to 2013 sp1 although the 2011 license is still processed by LMTools.

    The download files have been accidentally moved, so the download was currently unavailable. It's back now.
