I have picked up mental mill to learn how to make a very specific custom shader.

essentially i need a mixture of a toon shader and a standard shader.
But i am having difficulty figuring out how to make a toon shader look in here. (among most other things)

I also need a very specific effect result that i have no clue if it is even feasible.
Say there is a complex mesh of sorts (a character)
the toon shader look will catch every last detail of it's shadows.. this can be very distracting and too active while it moves.

I need a more graphic-like toon shadow that averages the mesh's angles to give a simpler shadow.
I was thinking even to have a toon shadow result get blurred, then "contoured" to give the sharp shadow again.

that may require some actual programming.

But first off, toon shader?
