Default Using vMaterials in Iray for Rhino Beta

Using the NVIDIA vMaterial library in the Iray for Rhino Beta plugin is very similar to working any other material in Iray for Rhino.

    1. Install the NVIDIA vMaterial Library and restart Rhino if it was open during the installation.
    2. Open the Materials Browser in Iray for Rhino

    3. In the Library Tab browse to nvidia/vMaterials then expand the folders to find the material needed

    4. Select the material and right click to Add to Scene or Assign To Selected Geometry

    5. Edit the parameters of the materials just like other materials in Iray for Rhino

    Hello there,
I seem to be having a lot of trouble with the materials library for Rhino.
My paths don't appear to be showing up (as in the example above) in the materials library.
I have tried to set the paths in the settings...

Would you be able to check this thread?

    Thanks.

Yes, thank you-- one year later I am having a similar issue. This seems to be the only thread I can find, but I can't access synchronicity's ref'd thread above.... My Materials Library only lists <core_definitions> and I haven't found any viable folder to set a path to any "vmaterials" that apparently should have installed with the trial.

    Any advice?

    Thx in advance,
    -dt

    Default vMaterials

please disregard - the vmaterials apparently need to be downloaded separately, they're just mixed up in the trial download lists and not clearly delineated.
