    Not for the roadmap, since things still may change on both sides - Iray and IFM, but we are working towards a new version of the plugin for June.

    a color temperature feature for lights would be very helpful.

    also maybe an own range of iray lights with the actual lightshaders, and a handle like the maya lights would be perfect.
    there is the looking through function, which makes the lighting process very quick.

    of course the color temperature function should works in kelvin

    also a randomize color temp function would be helpful. in realworld no lights have the same colortemp.

    per face or per surface/object would be nice, if lights are combined. for example: lots of flat lights with just one face are combined and have the same light-shader assigned.

    another important feature is the possibility to switch-off the primary and refraction visibility of the IBL.

    in some light situations (example: when the sun comes from the back) the ibl is visible through the geometrie. especially with transparent and translucent materials.
    I tried to help myself with LPE, but thats not working...

    Is there any plan to support Maya's hair primitives (assuming it hasn't been added since the beta days)? I love the speed and quality of Iray, but without curves support, it is useless to me. Converting guide curves to final hair geometry before passing them to the renderer is way too expensive an operation. The conversion should be done within Iray.

    Hello Team!
    I am still finding things a little cluttered when dealing with materials. I am working on an environment that requires material blending. Not only do I have to juggle the materials but I also have to keep track of each material blending node. It starts to clutter up my material editor really fast and the constant hunting and switching of nodes slows down the workflow quite a bit.

    It would be nice to have a layered blending material. It would make setting up materials a lot faster, cleaner and more manageable. I am thinking about something like this.

    It could be possible to set up a custom MDL that was already set up with layers, assuming we knew ahead of time what shader to use. Unfortunayely the MDL support/ifmMDLMaterial node in IFM doesn't extend to material inputs, so we couldn't create a utility shader as a custom MDL that would allow you to insert other materials as inputs (such as the native ifmBlend node does).

    If you just want to blend texture maps, IFM does support the MAYA layered texture node.

    Actually Rossh, I think this might be a good alternative. Is there a place where I can find the list of maya nodes that currently work with Iray for maya?

    The directly supported nodes are listed in the Iray documentation, which you can access from the windows start menu in the Iray for MAYA 2016 folder, in the textures section. But here's the list:

    'Hemispherical' setting in the IBL light.

    Will be super duper handy, for moving around a 'grounded' car in an HDR.
