Default Update 1.4 available, adding extended GPU support on Mac

    Hi all,

in case you did not notice otherwise, we have released another update of the Iray for Cinema 4D plugin, version 1.4.

The NVIDIA Professional Application Center should have notified you automatically, and help you download and install the update.
You may also download the update directly here:

    Windows
NVIDIA Iray for Cinema 4D R18 Windows 1.4
NVIDIA Iray for Cinema 4D R17 Windows 1.4
NVIDIA Iray for Cinema 4D R16 Windows 1.4

    macOS
NVIDIA Iray for Cinema 4D R18 macOS 1.4
NVIDIA Iray for Cinema 4D R17 macOS 1.4
NVIDIA Iray for Cinema 4D R16 macOS 1.4

This version update will add support for rendering camera motion blur.
But more importantly for Mac users, you can now use recent GPU generations like latest Kepler and Maxwell cards, up to Quadro K6000 and M6000, and GeForce GTX 900 series including its TITAN Z and X variants on a Mac. If you happen to use a custom Mac configuration or external eGPU boxes you can now take benefit of the power and performance of current NVIDIA GPUs.

The plugin updates are available for MAXON's Cinema versions R18, R17, and R16, Windows and Mac.

Your existing license(s) will continue to work with this update, including the trial license.

Please give it a try and let us know. See the release notes below.

    Thank you,
    Steffen

Default Pascal GPU Support on Mac now available w/ new NVIDIA drivers

    Hello Mac Users,

if you are a NVIDIA GPU user on the Mac,
you may have noticed that NVIDIA has released new Mac GPU drivers that introduce support for the latest Pascal-generation cards like the GTX 1080 and Quadro P4000 to P6000.

That means, the recently published 1.4 version of the Iray for Cinema 4D plugin can now also be used with those cards.

We would really love to hear about your Pascal GPU experience with Iray on the Mac.

    Best, Steffen

    Hi Steve,
I download the trial version for C4D R18 Mac, but it seems is not working with my graphic card. I have a NVIDIA GTX TITAN X 12G in a Mac Pro 5,1 Mid 2010. Cuda is working fine with Adobe applications.
Is there anything I can try to make it work?

I would love to buy this plugin if it works with my c4d and cuda

    thank you.
