    I.e. do you have maya2011 ?.. you can install MM from adsk site.

    I don't see it and it's not listed under my subscription log in either.

    My understanding was you bought it through the Digital River portal.

    With maya2011 and 3dsmax2011 you get a free MentalMill Standard license. I used it to create a xmsl file and could use it for rendering. Works fine.

    But normally I prefer writing a shader from scratch. Unfortunatly it would be a huge waste of time if I had to start maya or mayabatch everytime I change my code.

    Is there a simple compiler for msl files or at least some syntax checking tool? Unfortunalty I'm not a errorfree coder
